The Role

The Program Manager plays a crucial role in the successful progression of a program through its Intake, Forming, Execution, and Monitoring stages. Proactive management of tasks, clear communication, and strategic facilitation across different stages of program development to ensure alignment with organizational goals are essential for this role.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Role and Document Clarity: Proactively ensure clarity in roles and required documents across all stages, engaging with relevant parties to achieve this.
  • Review Organization and Preparation: Accountable for organizing and preparing key reviews, including Stage Gates, and facilitating necessary discussions.
  • Program Process Oversight: e.g. oversee the progress and clarity of phase scope documents, ensuring alignment with process & format requirements; Stage Gate checklists; etc.
  • Program Facilitation on Scope: Assist the Program DRI in the facilitation of scope setting and analysis, including running workshops and providing tools and techniques. 
  • Timeline & Roadmap Management: Ensure all program paperwork is clear and aligned while developing and maintaining an effective delivery plan and timeline.
  • Team Coaching and Risk Management: Lead teams, especially in challenging scenarios, providing coaching and mentorship, so that they manage risks with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Effectively communicate with stakeholders regarding program KPIs and success criteria, and report program status to facilitate transparent, informed decision-making.

    • As the Program Manager, you will create and maintain all essential program management artifacts, ensuring they are completed accurately and timely. In some cases, you may handle these responsibilities directly; in others, you may delegate them to appropriate individuals. Your duties include drafting, updating, and maintaining intake papers outlining the program's purpose, scoping documents detailing the program's objectives and deliverables, high-level delivery plans setting out key milestones, and execution reports tracking progress against goals. These documents serve as the foundation for program execution, providing transparency and accountability across all levels of the program team and stakeholders.

    Requirements:

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as Program Manager, Project Manager, IT Delivery Manager.
  • Experience in Tech/Product delivery and with scopes larger than a single team.
  • Power-user experience with Jira.

    • Nice-to-have:

  • Relevant certification and training from the required background.
  • Previous experience as Agile Coach, Process Master, Scrum Master, or similar.
  • Experience with Jira Advanced Roadmaps.
  • Experience in Platform/Tech/Product companies or /Scale-ups stage.
