The Team


The Printify MarTech squad's mission is to improve merchant education, provide tech support, and create tools that help with 1) attracting new users and building a community, 2) managing customer relationships, and 3) communicating effectively with our merchants.

We are building a strong community of Print on Demand (POD) beginners and experts by bringing them together on a mentorship and learning platform designed to help them grow their businesses.

Additionally, MarTech helps merchants increase their reach through affiliate marketing and keeps them informed with real-time updates via our notification center, while also boosting Printify’s visibility through SEO.

As a backend engineer working at Printify, you will:

  • Work with the latest versions of Typescript and NestJS.
  • Be involved in collaborative thinking with the team about how best to serve our merchants.
  • Understand the user deeply – their pain points, their needs, their motivations, etc.
  • Receive support from your direct manager – regular 1:1s, where you will be able to discuss any topic and receive frequent feedback that will help you improve and showcase how you’re doing.
  • Be able to lead feature development and collaborate cross-squad.
  • Focus on development, maintenance, and scaling across Printify products.
  • See the result of your work because of the frequent updates about how Printify’s users use the features the team is developing and maintaining.
  • Work in a place that fosters experimentation. We almost always use feature flags and AB tests when releasing.
  • Release to production every day to see your impact instantly.

    • As a Printify backend engineer, we expect you to have:

  • 3+ years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with NestJS is required.
  • Knowledge of PHP is beneficial, as a lot of code in Printify is in PHP.
  • Understanding of software development principles such as clean code, refactoring, SOLID principles, DDD, and CQRS.
  • Experience in writing comprehensive tests (unit, integration, e2e).
  • Proactivity in challenging the status quo and suggesting improvements.
  • Ability to think critically about different solutions and discuss trade-offs.
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of working cross-squad and engaging in team discussions.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

    • The technology we use:

  • TypeScript, NodeJS (frameworks we are choosing from NestJS, Loopback, TS. ED), PHP (Symfony & Laravel)
  • Angular, TypeScript, HTML, SCSS, and RxJS.
  • Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic stack.
  • MongoDB, PostgreSQL, messaging platforms.
  • AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Postman.
  • We also use practices such as Pair Programming, Refactoring, Code Reviews, Weekly Knowledge Sharing sessions, DDD/TDD/BDD, A/B testing, and Continuous Delivery which are an important part of our development process.
