The Role 

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Platform to play a vital role in connecting our strategic, operational, and technical domains. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive plans that drive platform development, ensuring seamless operations, and maintaining cutting-edge technical capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to foster collaboration, drive innovation, and guarantee optimal performance.
As our Head of Platform, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's success by driving platform development and maintenance, ensuring seamless operations, and advancing our technical capabilities. 

As Head of Platform, you will:

  • Strategic Planning: you will develop and implement strategic plans for the platform, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational goals. You also will analyze customer needs and the competitive landscape to define platform strategy and product roadmap.
  • Technical Management: you will oversee the technical architecture, design, and performance of the platform to ensure it meets business requirements and user needs. You also will collaborate with engineering teams to drive continuous improvement of the platform.
  • Operational Management: you will ensure the smooth operation of the platform, identifying and resolving technical bottlenecks, optimizing performance, and ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability.  You also will manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure the timely delivery of platform enhancements and new features.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: you will work closely with various teams to ensure a cohesive approach in delivering platform value. You also will facilitate communication and collaboration among different departments to ensure alignment and coordination in platform-related initiatives.
  • Team Development: you will mentor and encourage the platform team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis: you will monitor platform metrics, analyze performance data, gather user feedback, make data-driven decisions, and continuously improve the platform. You also will establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure platform success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: you will communicate platform strategy, status, and performance to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

  • The software we use:
  • PHP 8+, Symfony, Doctrine, and Laravel.
  • TypeScript, NodeJS – Frameworks from NestJS, Loopback, and Ts.ED.
  • Python and ML-related ecosystems.
  • Angular, TypeScript, HTML, SCSS, and RxJS.
  • Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch.
  • Cypress, PHPUnit, and Postman.
  • MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Git.

  • As Head of Platform, we expect you to have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role (Head of Platform, Head of Product in Platform, Platform Product Manager, etc).
  • Previous solid experience as a software engineer with at least 10 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in software architecture principles and patterns, including design and implementation will be considered as a plus.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills in overseeing multiple cross-functional teams, with a proven track record of successfully leading teams of 10+ people. 
  • A degree in computer science or a related field.
