The team

Printify strives for excellence with engineering squads devoted to each platform component, resulting in sustainable, clean code and minimized technical debt. We’re looking for a Back-End Software Engineer to join our Payments team, which is dedicated to ensuring a seamless and efficient payment experience for both our merchants and their customers.

The role

As a Back-end Software Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our Payments system to deliver a scalable and robust solution. You will build a payment solution that integrates with our internal services, enabling new payment capabilities for our platform. Following the best practices in DDD and CQRS within a service-oriented architecture is crucial. A passion for writing and improving clean code, being a team player, sharing knowledge, and learning from others are essential for success in this position. Developing in this role will provide opportunities for growth within the company.

The technology we use:

  • PHP 8+, Symfony, Doctrine, and Laravel.
  • TypeScript, NodeJS – Frameworks from NestJS, Loopback, and Ts.ED.
  • Angular, TypeScript, HTML, SCSS, and RxJS.
  • Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch.
  • Cypress, PHPUnit, and Postman.
  • MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Git.
  • We also use practices such as Pair Programming, Refactoring, Code Reviews, Weekly Knowledge Sharing sessions, TDD/BDD, A/B testing, and Continuous Delivery which are an important part of our development process.
  • Your responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product teams and product managers to iterate on new features within Printify.
  • Take responsibility for the design and execution of your own initiatives.
  • Identify areas of improvement in the codebase and contribute to making it better.
  • Frequently pair with teammates for code reviews to boost knowledge-sharing, learning, and platform improvement.
  • Fix prioritized bugs/issues tracked within the platform.
  • Participate as a presenter or attendee in weekly coding or knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Develop your soft skills and discuss best practices and technologies with peers.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • 5+ years' experience with PHP.
  • Experience in the Payments Domain.
  • Experience with Financial Management Systems.
  • Experience with Distributed Systems.
  • Experience with Payment Gateway Integration.
  • Quality-oriented: follow best practices (Testing (ideally TDD), pair programming, continuous integration/deployment, Agile methodologies) and SOLID principles.
  • Experience with mentoring team members.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DDD (Domain-Driven Design).
  • Experience with CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation)
