About the Team:

The Shipping Experience team builds the systems that power the journey of every shipment we send. We enable customers to access accurate shipping rates, optimize carrier and service selection, and ensure reliable delivery experiences. Our mission is to make shipping smarter, faster, and more cost-effective through scalable, end-to-end logistics tools.


Domain Areas You’ll Work On:

  • Logistics workflow automation

  • Carrier and service optimisation

  • Shipping rate calculation

  • Shipment tracking and visibility

  • Scalable infrastructure for global shipping

About the Role:

As a Full-Stack Engineer on the Shipping Experience team, you'll play a key role in designing and building the tools that power our global delivery network. You'll work across the stack to create reliable, scalable systems that improve how we calculate shipping rates, automate logistics, and serve both everyday customers and large enterprise clients.

Your Daily Tasks Will Entail:

  • Design and implement backend systems for our global delivery network.

  • Develop frontend interfaces for our internal tools.

  • Collaborate with product managers and fellow engineers to define and refine features.

  • Take ownership of initiatives, from concept to delivery.

  • Maintain and improve the quality of our codebase through testing, refactoring, and code reviews.

  • Share knowledge in team and cross-team meetups.

  • Support continuous improvement of our tools and architecture.
     

Your Qualifications:
 

  • Strong backend development experience (ideally 4+ years).

  • Experience with PHP and service-oriented architecture.

  • Experience with Angular. Knowledge in Vue.js is a nice-to-have.

  • Familiarity with distributed systems and message queues.

  • Strong understanding of clean code, testing, and Agile practices.

  • Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable collaborating in English (spoken & written).

  • We believe in collaboration, and from time to time, this role may involve short visits to our facility in Mārupe for team events or operational needs.

Good to Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with DDD (Domain-Driven Design)

  • Experience with CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation)

  • Background in logistics or shipping networks

  • Backend: PHP (Laravel, Yii), PhpUnit, static code analysis tools.

  • Frontend:  Angular, Javascript.

  • Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis.

  • Engineering Tools: Postman, Git, GitHub Copilot, PhpStorm, Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus.

  • Remote work Tools: Jira, Miro, Google Workspace, Slack.

  • Development Practices: Pair Programming, Code Reviews, Continuous Integration/Deployment.

  • Monthly gross salary starting from EUR 4000+, with potential for higher compensation based on work experience, education, and skills.
