Conducting legal research to identify applicable legislation, outline our compliance requirements and support business decisions
Ensuring that our compliance efforts adhere to all global, regulatory, and industry standards
Collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as Operations, HR&ESG, Platform, Product, and Marketing to gather input and align any project implementation efforts with business needs
Providing timely legal advice on international matters, helping understand, assess and manage legal risks across multiple jurisdictions
Leading various compliance-related projects and supporting other teams to establish, review, and manage internal processes that need legal support
Actively participating in calls with various internal stakeholders, as well as any clients, suppliers and others across time zones, to provide legal guidance and assist in partnership negotiations
Overseeing our compliance-related document management systems and processes.
At least 3 years of legal experience, ideally a combination of in-house and law firm roles. Experience with the U.S. market or in an international business environment, especially in a compliance-related role, will be an advantage
A university degree in law (Mag. iur.) is required; an LL.M. from a U.S. university is a strong advantage. Participation in moot court competitions, receipt of scholarships, or other academic distinctions will be an advantage
Solid understanding of civil law, previous work experience working in any compliance-related field or performing researches, conducting due diligence or drafting and assessing compliance frameworks within an organization or for clients will be an advantage
Experience or familiarity with ESG related legislation (especially product safety centric), Digital Services Act and/or sanctions compliance is a plus
Efficient communication and negotiation skills, as well as fluency in the English language (written and spoken)
Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Interest in or experience with legal technology tools; curiosity about the print-on-demand and e-commerce industries
Proven ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
Monthly salary of EUR 2900- 3400 gross, depending on work experience, education, and skills
